Wrexham is preparing to make three additional signings following the agreement on a club-record fee to acquire New Zealand left-back Liberato Cacace, according to reports.
The 24-year-old, who is presently with Serie B team Empoli, is expected to join the club for a sum of £2.2 million plus bonuses, as stated by Gianluca Di Marzio.
Although the deal has not yet been finalized, Wrexham manager Phil Parkinson disclosed on Thursday that he has already had discussions with the New Zealand international.
“If we can finalize the signing, he is a player who will integrate well with the culture we have established at Wrexham,” Parkinson stated.
