According to a report from the Spanish outlet AS, Rodrygo has made it known to those close to the situation that if he were to be sold, his top choice would be to move to Arsenal over their Premier League competitors.
The report further indicates that the club is prepared to part with €90 million – exceeding £77 million – to acquire the forward and replace his fellow countryman, Gabriel Martinelli.
Nevertheless, Rodrygo’s aspirations for a transfer to the Emirates seem to have encountered an obstacle after the Gunners reached a £52 million agreement with Chelsea to sign Noni Madueke, with the England international being granted permission to leave the United States prior to the FIFA Club World Cup final to undergo a medical examination.
