Premier League Player of the Season nominees announced as fans can’t believe one player wasn’t included

Social media users have expressed their reactions following the announcement of the nominees for the Premier League Player of the Season.

As the Premier League season approaches its conclusion, the time has come to present the individual awards.

On Thursday morning, the eight candidates for the Premier League Player of the Season were unveiled.

Perhaps as expected, freshly-crowned champions Liverpool had the most nominations, with Mohamed Salah, Virgil van Dijk and Ryan Gravenberch all in the running.

The Reds trio were joined by Newcastle United star Alexander Isak, Brentford’s Bryan Mbeumo, Arsenal midfielder Declan Rice and Nottingham Forest duo Morgan Gibbs-White and Chris Wood.

Liverpool man Salah will be the favourite to pick up the award after scoring 28 goals and assisting 18 in the top flight this season.

Reacting on social media, some fans questioned the decision to overlook Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes.One fan said: “Where’s Bruno Fernandes? “Another tweeted: “Where’s Bruno Fernandes? The best midfielder.

“A third fan added: “No Bruno Fernandes shameful.”

Someone else wrote: “Bruno deserved a shot too. Without him United would have been relegated now.

“A fifth commented: “Bruno is better than 7 of them.

“Another fan said: “What criteria is used for the selection we are missing the mighty Bruno whyyy??????”
