Real Madrid has made contact with Liverpool regarding the acquisition of Trent Alexander-Arnold, aiming for him to participate in the Club World Cup, according to sources from GIVEMESPORT.
The right-back has officially announced his departure from Anfield after two decades this summer, coinciding with the expiration of his contract with his childhood club, and it is anticipated that he will join Madrid on a long-term agreement.
However, since his contract with Liverpool does not conclude until June 30th, additional negotiations will be necessary for Real Madrid to facilitate an early release from his contract prior to the CWC tournament.
As revealed exclusively by GIVEMESPORT, Real Madrid want to get the England international into the Bernabeu in time for their Club World Cup fixtures this summer, and are prepared to pay in excess of £500,000 to get a deal done.Alexander-Arnold is currently expected to leave for nothing when his deal expires on June 30th, but Liverpool could make a small fee by allowing him to leave before the tournament starts on June 18th.
