Arne Slot expresses optimism that Joe Gomez may return to play for Liverpool prior to the conclusion of the season.
The defender has been unavailable since suffering an injury in the early part of the Emirates FA Cup match against Plymouth Argyle on February 9.
Although Gomez has not yet begun training with his teammates, Slot indicated today that he is on track to be considered for selection before the end of the 2024-25 season.
‘If his recovery progresses well, he could potentially participate in the final one or two matches of the season,’ the head coach remarked regarding the defender.
‘However, he is still not training with us yet, but he is getting closer to rejoining the team.
It is important to note that he has been out for an extended period.
We were just discussing Conor Bradley, who took some time before he could fully integrate or have a prolonged start.
I believe Gomez will be available for the last one, two, or three matches if his recovery continues as anticipated.
