Liverpool has made a significant effort to acquire one of their primary targets in what may evolve into a dramatic six-player exchange.
With the recent contract renewals of Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk, the club is now strategizing for the upcoming summer transfer window, with multiple players, including three Premier League stars, being associated with a potential transfer to Anfield.
And they all play for one club, with Liverpool chasing Dean Huijsen, Milos Kerkez and Antoine Semenyo.
That’s according to The Daily Mail, who claim the Bournemouth trio are high on Liverpool’s transfer wish-list.
German journalist Florian Plettenberg has confirmed their interest in Huijsen, who is being targeted to replace Jarell Quansah in the squad.
In return, Bournemouth are keen on three Liverpool players, with a six-player transfer potentially on the cards.
The 26-year-old, who has made 20 appearances across all competitions this season, is looking to secure a move away from Anfield, with Giorgi Mamardashvili set to move to the club following his pre-contract agreement.
The Ireland international has just one year left on his existing deal, with Liverpool seeking for a transfer fee to avoid a free scenario situation. £20 million has been mooted.
It is believed that Bournemouth is monitoring the situations of Caoimhin Kelleher, Harvey Elliott, and Ben Doak. A trade involving six players may be a possibility; however, discussions regarding separate transactions for each of these Liverpool players could also occur.
According to the report, the most feasible target for Bournemouth is considered to be goalkeeper Kelleher.
Elliott, who has played 13 league matches for Liverpool, has been frustrated by his lack of minutes under Arne Slot this season. However, he is happy at Liverpool and is keen to fight for his place, with the Reds not looking to sell the 22-year-old.
Doak, meanwhile, has impressed on loan at Middlesbrough, who are pushing for a play-off spot in the Championship.
