Arsenal, Liverpool, and Manchester United have all been rumored to submit offers for Sporting CP centre-back Ousmane Diomande this summer.
The 21-year-old player joined Sporting in January 2023 under the management of United’s current coach, Ruben Amorim, and has since made 69 appearances under him before his move to Old Trafford.
During this period, Diomande established himself as one of the most promising young defenders in the game and has recently experienced what could be considered the best season of his career thus far.
As he approaches the final two years of his contract, Diomande faces a pivotal decision this summer, as A BOLA reports that he is a target for some of the wealthiest clubs in the Premier League.
Reports suggest that Arsenal, Liverpool, and United have all contacted Sporting to assess their willingness to sell Diomande.
The Portuguese club is expected to demand a fee of €60 million (£50.6 million, $68.4 million) and is reportedly unwilling to enter negotiations.
The three Premier League clubs, along with Bayern Munich, may “submit offers in the coming days.
“Diomande is accustomed to such speculation and has frequently been linked with a move to one of Europe’s top clubs—Chelsea has also previously considered acquiring the defender—but The Telegraph has now disclosed that Crystal Palace is contemplating a bold approach.
Palace is preparing for the potential departure of Marc Guéhi this summer, with clubs showing interest as he enters the final year of his own contract, and they are now reportedly seeking to replace him with Diomande.
The fee mentioned in this report is at least £45 million (£53.4 million, $60.9 million). Palace is optimistic about receiving a higher amount for Guéhi.
