Liverpool has officially confirmed that seven additional players will depart from the club, following the release of the retained list for the 2025/26 season.
Less than two weeks after celebrating their Premier League championship victory for the 2024/25 season, Liverpool is actively engaged in the transfer market, with several significant player acquisitions anticipated in the upcoming weeks.
Nevertheless, it is not solely new arrivals that Liverpool has been negotiating recently, as multiple players have already exited the club during the special transfer window that was opened in preparation for the Club World Cup.
As his contract is set to expire at the end of the month, Trent Alexander-Arnold was the first to leave Anfield, transferring to Real Madrid for a fee of £10 million, while club legend Caoimhin Kelleher has also recently moved to Brentford for a sum that could reach £18 million.
In an official announcement published on the club’s website, Liverpool revealed that a number of players from the Academy setup will be departing following the conclusion of their current contracts.
Dominic Corness, Louis Enahoro-Marcus, Harry Evers, Lee Jonas, Jakub Ojrzynski, Jacob Poytress, and Reece Trueman will all be leaving the club this summer, while several other young talents have been presented with new contract offers.

“While the spotlight will primarily be on the seven exits, the club’s choice to extend contracts to eight young players indicates that Liverpool remains committed to nurturing academy talents who can potentially excel for the club.
Notably, supporters will be pleased to learn that 18-year-old Keyrol Figueroa, the son of former Premier League defender Maynor Figueroa, has received a new contract after showcasing his skills in matches for both Liverpool and the USA’s youth teams.
