Crouch was quick to point out: “There’s a different scenario about a goalscorer and a player.
I think quite often we get caught up in who’s the greatest player.
Alan Shearer’s obviously the best goalscorer we’ve had in Premier League history, but is Thierry Henry not a better player?”The numbers are there for all to see, and obviously, it makes you a top player, but I don’t think it makes you the best player.
For me, Steven Gerrard is a better player than Mo Salah, and that is a difficult thing to say because the numbers are nowhere near.
