
Liverpool has issued a statement following the arrest of a man who collided with fans in his vehicle during the club’s open-top bus parade celebrating their Premier League championship victory.
The incident was initially reported around 6pm, with videos surfacing that show supporters being struck by a moving car during the parade.
It has now been confirmed that a 53-year-old white British man has been taken into custody in relation to the incident, with law enforcement urging the public to refrain from speculating about the details.
There have not yet been any updates on the number of individuals injured.
Nevertheless, Liverpool has released their first statement since the news emerged, denouncing the incident and expressing their sympathies to those impacted.
