Missing three of four per cent in defensive work leads to losing games’: Slot on Brighton defeat

During the press conference following Liverpool’s loss to Brighton on Monday, Arne Slot was inquired if he had gained significantly more insight into his players.

He responded, stating that after working with them for ten months, it would be unusual to discover new information.

However, he acknowledged that he observed several aspects he was already aware of, particularly the narrow margins that have characterized their season.

He noted that failing to score a third goal and lacking just two or three percent in defensive efforts can directly result in losing matches, despite the fact that the losses were against teams like Chelsea and Brighton, and they did not lose to Arsenal.
