Jurgen Klopp’s representative has refuted the increasing rumors suggesting that his client might depart from Red Bull to assume the role of manager at Real Madrid.
Recent reports from Brazil indicated that Klopp was becoming disenchanted with his current role as head of global soccer at Red Bull and was considering a return to management, potentially with the Brazilian national team or Real Madrid.
The speculation intensified following news that Real Madrid is preparing to part ways with their current manager, Carlo Ancelotti, after their elimination from the Champions League by Arsenal.
Klopp’s name surfaced as a possible candidate in various reports.
In an effort to clarify the situation, Sky Sports Germany reached out to Klopp’s agent, Marc Kosicke, who sought to downplay the rumors.
“Jurgen is very content in his new position as head of global soccer at Red Bull,” Kosicke emphasized.
It has been reported that Klopp has received multiple offers to return to management next season; however, the Liverpool manager is not inclined to accept a new coaching position, even with Real Madrid or Brazil.
Meanwhile, Real Madrid appears to be directing their attention elsewhere.
Xabi Alonso of Bayer Leverkusen has been identified as their preferred successor to Ancelotti, and club officials are preparing to pursue a reunion with their former midfielder in the near future.
The aim is for Alonso to take charge by the start of the Club World Cup this summer, but negotiations will need to take place with Leverkusen, as Alonso is under contract until 2026.
