Liverpool fans convinced new signing has ‘ridiculous’ secret weapon that will terrify the Premier League

Liverpool supporters believe they have pinpointed a particular skill that Jeremie Frimpong possesses, which could cause concern among the rest of the Premier League.

In May, Liverpool finalized what would be the initial move in a series of high-profile signings this summer, as the former Bayer Leverkusen standout Frimpong became a member of the team.

The Dutch player, who takes over from Trent Alexander-Arnold after his contentious transfer to Real Madrid, has committed to a five-year contract with Arne Slot’s squad, with Leverkusen receiving a transfer fee of €35m (£29.5m).

Since his arrival, Frimpong has participated in both the pre-season friendly against Preston North End at the Deepdale stadium and a closed-door match with Stoke City at the AXA training ground.

And following the emergence of footage from the match with Stoke online, fans are convinced that the Premier League should be wary of one of Frimpong’s most significant threats.

After defeating Preston 3-1 in their initial pre-season friendly, Liverpool achieved a commanding 5-0 victory over Stoke City, highlighted by a hat-trick from Darwin Nunez, along with one goal each from Rio Ngumoha and Federico Chiesa.

Although he did not start the match against Stoke, Frimpong later entered the field and quickly impressed fans with his speed.

In response to highlight clips from the match, one fan commented: “Bro Jeremie Frimpong is ridiculously quick nobody is catching this guy wtf.”

Another fan remarked: “We previously depended on Szoboszlai down that right-hand side for recoveries and out-of-position work, but now they have Frimpong. He is going to introduce another dimension to the attack alongside Salah and is set to have a fantastic season.”A different fan stated: “He’s going to be a cheat code at the end of games when players are fatigued.

“Meanwhile, one fan suggested: “Serious option at right wing if Salah gets injured, needs a break, or when he’s at AFCON. Especially considering how good Bradley is.”

It is not yet clear exactly what role Frimpong will play in Slot’s side next season, with the 24-year-old capable of starting as right-back or providing cover for the position and the right-wing on the benchThe Dutchman made 48 appearances for Leverkusen last season and is therefore expected to be heavily involved for the Reds throughout the season.
