Liverpool supporters have formed their opinions on Federico Chiesa after the initial 45 minutes of the club’s pre-season match against Preston North End.The Reds secured the 24/25 Premier League title, yet Arne Slot has promptly enhanced his squad this summer with the signings of Florian Wirtz and Jeremie Frimpong from Bayer Leverkusen, alongside Milos Kerkez who has also made an early summer transfer.As the Premier League is set to commence next month, Slot’s team took to the field for the first time this season at Deepdale, where the home team honored the heartbreaking loss of Diogo Jota and his brother Andre Silva.
Chiesa participated in only six Premier League matches last season, with just a single start, and has been rumored to be considering a departure from Anfield this summer.
Nevertheless, following his remarkable performance against Preston, supporters are now eager to retain the Italian international.
One supporter commented: “Furthermore, we cannot afford to sell Federico Chiesa. Let’s give him another season; we are aware that he possesses talent, he merely requires fitness and match sharpness. This team needs his positive energy this season.

I sincerely hope he remains and is granted a genuine opportunity this season because when he is at his best, he is as skilled as anyone, in my opinion.” Chiesa himself expressed his dissatisfaction regarding the limited playing time in an interview with Corriere Dello Sport in May, and indicated that he would be evaluating his options this summer.
“The year has concluded. However, it is an experience I would gladly repeat. Soon, I will convene with the club, Fali (Ramadani), and my family to determine the most suitable course of action. I would not be opposed to remaining in Liverpool at all,” he stated.
