Florian Wirtz’s Highest Wage at Liverpool Following Record-Breaking Agreement

Liverpool is on the verge of offering Florian Wirtz a contract that could earn him approximately £12.8 million per year, as they are close to finalizing his transfer as the newest addition to Anfield from Bundesliga powerhouse Bayer Leverkusen, according to sources from me.

Reds manager Arne Slot has already made a move for the German club since securing the Premier League title, with Jeremie Frimpong having completed a £29.5 million transfer after his release clause was activated last month.

However, he is expected to be joined by a familiar face in Merseyside in the upcoming days.

Wirtz is in the process of finalizing a contract that will enable him to earn over €12m (£10.2 million) annually upon his transfer from Bayer Leverkusen later this week, as reported by GMS sources.

However, his yearly salary could increase to a maximum of approximately €15m (£12.8 million) per year – or £245,000 per week – contingent upon meeting individual and team performance objectives.

The Germany international is poised to make a record-setting transfer to Anfield after the Reds reached an agreement with his current club for a £116.5 million deal last week, which will make him the most expensive signing in British football history, surpassing Chelsea midfielder Moises Caicedo.

According to GMS sources, Liverpool has not disrupted their wage structure to facilitate this transfer.

After reaching a compromise with Bayer Leverkusen, Wirtz is expected to arrive in Merseyside on Thursday to finalize the details of the deal on Friday.

The 22-year-old attacking midfielder has been characterized as ‘phenomenal’ by journalist Graeme Bailey and will be expected to play a crucial role in the Reds’ efforts to defend their Premier League title once he officially completes the signing as the latest addition under Dutch manager Slot.

Liverpool executives have identified Napoli striker Victor Osimhen as a potential target while discussing striker options in a high-level meeting earlier this month, as revealed by GMS sources, indicating that there may be additional negotiations in the upcoming months.
