Real Madrid supporters are urging Xabi Alonso to transfer one player after their opening match in the Club World Cup.
Real commenced their Club World Cup journey with a 1-1 draw against Al Hilal, a team from the Saudi Pro League, on Wednesday.
Gonzalo Garcia netted the first goal in the 34th minute, while Ruben Neves equalized from the penalty spot just before halftime.
The La Liga team had a chance to secure victory when they were granted a penalty in the final moments; however, Federico Valverde’s attempt from the spot was thwarted by Bono.
Xabi Alonso, overseeing his inaugural match for Real, provided starting positions to new signings Dean Huijsen and Trent Alexander-Arnold, who sparked discussions among Liverpool supporters just moments into his first appearance.
Players such as Jude Bellingham and Rodrygo also began the match, alongside Fran Garcia, who was positioned at left-back.
Nevertheless, Garcia did not meet the expectations of Real fans on social media, as there are calls for his sale this summer.
Supporters lamented his defensive skills and believe he was the ‘worst player on the field’ at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, Florida.
One user on X commented: “I have never witnessed a more evidently unsuccessful winger playing as a left-back than Fran Garcia; he lacks any understanding of defensive positioning.
“Another remarked: “Fran is unable to cope with the pressure at the club.
Unfortunately, he is alarmingly limited. I hope Franco can make a significant impact sooner rather than later.
“A third individual stated: “Fran Garcia is the worst player on the field; this individual cannot continue at my club.
Additionally, another critic expressed: “Fran Garcia must be released; he provides no offensive assistance, is hesitant to tackle, and cannot even win headers.”
