It seems that Liverpool’s primary transfer target for the left-back position is merely a formality at this stage, considering the comments made by Milos Kerkez’s father, which suggest that only minor details remain to be finalized for the official announcement.
“For us, it’s solely Liverpool, and we have no intention of exploring other options or engaging with other clubs.
All personal terms have been agreed upon; we just need to finalize a few details, but essentially, it’s a done deal,” stated Sebastijan, Kerkez’s father, during an appearance on the Super Indirektno podcast.
On Sunday, ESPN reported that an agreement has been reached between the two clubs, valued at approximately €45 million ($51.99 million), indicating that it is only a matter of time before Arne Slot secures another key target.
The 21-year-old Hungarian defender gained recognition this past season under Andoni Iraola at Bournemouth.
He started all 38 league matches, contributing to eight goals (two goals and six assists) during Bournemouth’s most successful Premier League campaign in various aspects: highest points total, best league position, most victories, fewest losses, most goals scored, and fewest goals conceded.
