Benjamin Sesko sends five-word transfer message to Premier League suitors

RB Leipzig’s highly sought-after forward, Benjamin Sesko, emphasized his commitment to finishing the current season while also hinting at the possibility of a summer transfer.

“It’s open. Anything can happen,” he cautioned.

Sesko has been a coveted striker for several years, with Arsenal nearly securing his signature last summer before he opted to renew his contract.

The 21-year-old’s contract runs until 2029 and reportedly includes a release clause that could allow him to leave for around €80 million (£66 million) this summer, although RB Leipzig may consider lower offers.

Numerous clubs, including Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, and Manchester United, are interested in the player, who has scored 21 goals in all competitions.

Sesko, who is five years younger than Sporting CP’s Viktor Gyokeres, another prominent target for Premier League teams, stated, “At this moment, I am entirely focused on RB Leipzig.” He added, “Then we will see what unfolds.

It’s open; anything can happen.”

Reflecting on his performance, Sesko noted, “I am having a better season than last year,” after achieving his first 20-goal season. He acknowledged the need for improvement, saying, “I can enhance many aspects of my game to increase my goal tally significantly.”

With two league matches remaining, RB Leipzig is in a fierce competition for a top-four finish in the Bundesliga, which would secure Champions League qualification.

“There is no pressure this season,” the prolific striker remarked.

“It has been a season of ups and downs.

We hope to maximize our performance in the next two matches and rely on other teams to drop points.”
