While the majority of the Liverpool team is engaged in festivities to celebrate their Premier League title triumph, striker Darwin Nunez has come under scrutiny from fans due to his behavior involving Mohamed Salah after the Reds secured a record-equalling 20th title with a 5-1 victory over Tottenham.
Recently, Nunez has not endeared himself to the Anfield supporters, particularly after he posted a complaint about his limited playing time, which he later deleted.
Although the striker found himself on the bench once more, he was eventually brought on for a brief appearance as the celebrations unfolded in Merseyside.
Nevertheless, a video of Nunez celebrating with Salah has gained significant attention on social media, as it seemed that the Uruguayan poured alcohol onto his teammate.

While the Liverpool players celebrated with what looked to be bottles of champagne, Nunez was caught running over towards his Egyptian teammate and pouring the drink over his head. Although the two were seen smiling with one another afterward, fans were quick to lambast the striker for dousing Salah with the alcohol, which he doesn’t drink due to being a Muslim.
The consumption of alcohol is banned in the Islamic faith, and several people pointed this out while throwing criticism the way of the 25-year-old.
However, it turns out that the drink was actually alcohol-free, allowing the likes of Salah to enjoy the celebrations freely without worrying about avoiding the champagne that was being sprayed about by all involved.Earlier in the day, Nunez had tried to set Salah up to score his second of the game, when it appeared that everyone in the stadium was wishing for him to shoot himself and find the back of the net for just the fourth time in the Premier League since the turn of the year. While it wasn’t meant to be, Nunez was still able to enjoy winning his first major title in European football, having failed to do so while at Benfica.
