Xavi Simons ‘dream’ transfer destination revealed

RB Leipzig midfielder Xavi Simons is said to be “dreaming” of a potential return to Barcelona this summer.

The Dutch player has attracted interest from several top Premier League clubs, including Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, and Manchester United, all of whom are considering a deal that could be valued at approximately £60 million.

When questioned about his future, Simons indicated that he is open to leaving, revealing that he has shared his aspirations with Leipzig.

He confirmed that he plans to meet with the club at the end of the season to discuss his options.

According to Fabrizio Romano, one of Simons’ ambitions is to finally don the Barcelona jersey.

He joined the prestigious academy at the age of seven and was regarded as one of the most promising young talents globally during his time at La Masia.

Regrettably for Barcelona, a contractual disagreement regarding a renewal for the 16-year-old Simons led him to transfer to Paris Saint-Germain in 2019, with the La Liga club reportedly receiving only €130,000 for his development rights.
