Arne Slot has addressed his position regarding Trent Alexander-Arnold in light of inquiries concerning the Liverpool contract situation.

Trent Alexander-Arnold has provided Liverpool with a much-needed boost regarding injuries, as Arne Slot has confirmed that he may be available for the squad during Sunday’s match against Leicester City.

The right-back has been absent for the last four games due to an ankle injury sustained in last month’s Champions League defeat to Paris Saint-Germain.At 26 years old, Alexander-Arnold is approaching the conclusion of his current contract and is reportedly contemplating a transfer to Real Madrid.

He is now the sole senior player at Liverpool without a new contract, following the two-year extensions signed by both Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah.

Slot refrained from discussing the defender’s contract situation, adhering to the club’s policy of remaining silent until decisions are finalized.

“I’ve maintained the same position all season,” Slot stated. “Until something is officially resolved, we do not address it publicly. However, Trent has consistently demonstrated professionalism—he has trained diligently, worked hard during his rehabilitation, and every time he is with the team, he displays his commitment.”Slot commended the full-back’s talent and significance to the team’s goals this season. “Anyone who has followed football in recent years recognizes his exceptional ability. We will have to wait and see what unfolds regarding his future.”
